Deutsche Elvis-Diskografie
Hier findet ihr die deutschen Elvis-Tonträger, die bis 1977 auf den Markt gekommen sind: von den Singles (45 rpm) über die legendären Schellack-Platten (78 rpm) und die Extended Plays (EPs, 45 rpm) bis hin zu den klassischen LPs (33 rpm). Übersicht und Inhalt
Mit der Aufnahme der US-Firma RCA in das Programm der Teldec und Gründung der Teldec-RCA-Group in Hamburg, waren Elvis-Presley-Schallplatten ab Herbst 1956 auch in Deutschland erhältlich. Gezeigt werden ausschließlich die in Deutschland zwischen 1956 und 1977 veröffentlichten Schallplatten (Erstpressungen). Titel, die in Deutschland für den Export oder für die US Army hergestellt wurden, werden nicht berücksichtigt. In der Regel waren die Schallplatten ein bis zwei Monate nach den angegebenen Copyright-Informationen verfügbar, was bedeutet, dass Titel, für die z. B. im Dezember ein Copyright vergeben wurde, in der Regel erst im Januar/Februar im Geschäft erhältlich waren. Deutsche RCA-Pressungen erschienen auf mehreren unterschiedlichen schwarzen (1956-68) und orangen Label-Varianten (1968-77). Weil RCA über kein eigenes Presswerk verfügte, wurde bei der Teldec in Nortorf gepresst, auch nachdem sich RCA 1973 selbstständig machte.
