FTD-News
Im Rahmen der „Live on Tour“-Serie hat das Sammlerlabel FTD für den 23. September nun ein Set ’77er Shows angekündigt. Dieser 4-CD-Digipak mit dem Titel „Elvis: The Last Tours Volume 1“ enthält die Shows vom 13. Februar (West Palm Beach), 14. Februar (St. Petersburg), 16. Februar (Montgomery), 18. Februar (Columbia), 19. Februar (Johnson City) und 20.+21. Februar (Charlotte). Alle Songs, die damals während der Februar-Tournee in Mono aufgenommen wurden, sind enthalten.
Als zweites wurde ein FTD-Vinyl-Soundtrack angekündigt. Das Doppelalbum enthält die Original-Soundtrack-Master, Studio-Outtakes und Bonustracks von
„California Holiday“ aka „Spinout“. Im Oktober 1966 kündigte der britische MGM-Verleih an, das „California Holiday“ in London seine Weltpremiere feiern würde und man den ursprünglichen US-Titel „Spinout“ geändert hatte, da man der Meinung war, dass er das britische und ausländische Publikum mehr ansprechen würde. Der Titel „Spinout“ wurde nur in den USA und Kanada verwendet. Diese einmalige und limitierte FTD-Ausgabe basiert auf der britischen Originalveröffentlichung und trägt das RCA-Victor-Label mit dem roten Punkt.
